I believe the time of Jacob's trouble began at least as early as 70 AD or before and is still going on today. For the so-called African America, we have been going through well over 400 years of steady violence against us by others based on race alone. There is no other race of people who have gone through so much for so long other than our people. It seems the whole world hates our race for no apparent reason, although some will say it's because we are nothing but thugs or other by-words they may choose to call us, but before there was ever a so-called black thug, when we were business men and women, or for that matter, when we were in our own country minding our own business, before our ancestors even understood what a thug was, there was already violence perpetrated against us by others. It is almost hard to believe there ever was a time when our people weren't enslaved by someone and hated so. This is truly the time of Jacob's trouble, a time like no other time, a day so great that none is like it.
It has been a long day, for a thousand years is as one day with the Lord. G-d has promised to deliver us out of this day of trouble and he will break the yoke off our necks. In the past our ancestors had a yoke of iron place around their necks and were held captive as slaves on slave ships scattered to the four corners of the world. Today we see our men , women, and even our children with a yoke on around their necks in the form of a policeman's knee. It almost seems a mockery to have a policeman kneel on a man's neck when there was such an outrage against a black man kneeling during the national athem in protest of police violence. After 400 years we still have the yoke of oppression around our necks in the form of bondage, and now at last even in the form of the policeman's knee.
Jeremiah 30:6-10 6 Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?
7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble, but he shall be saved out of it.
8 For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:
9 But they shall serve the Lord their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.
10 Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the Lord; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.
Father, you said you will deliver us from this day. Father deliver us from the evil one. Please come soon to save us from our oppressors . Please father remove the evil one's knee off our necks. Father please grant us repentance and punish those who would harm us and those who are too cowardly to stand for what is right. Halleluyah !
